Better late than never- the parishioners of Velur recognize that it is their first and foremost duty to maintain the glory and memory of Arnos Padiri. In connection with the third centenary of ‘puthanpana’ the parish maid a record by chanting ‘puthanpana’ for twelve hours continuously on 18th March, 2017.

This longest recitation of ‘puthanpana’ found a place in India Book of Records. 356 persons participated in this mega program and all of them put on traditional Christian attire.

‘Pana’ a drama based on the biography of Anrnos, written and directed by Fr. Fijo Alappadan was staged under the auspices of ‘Arnos Kalakendra’ instituted in the name of composer of ‘puthenpana’.
